My Design:
First Floor -
This is my first floor Plan for the Keystone Library project. My plan includes a 30x30 history room immediately to the right when you walk in. The entrance is a double door on the exterior wall, with another set of doors when you walk in. (See above rendering) This will help a lot with insulation as well as circulation of people in and out. This floor also includes a mechanical room, two meeting rooms, staff lounge and private bathroom, library stacks, circulation desks, and a bathroom for both men and women. This layout is very efficient as it keeps a lot of the plumbing separated on either sides of the building.
Second Floor -
This is my Second Floor Plan for the Keystone Library project. This second floor includes the green roof space, men and women bathroom, and plenty of space for library stacks. This floor also includes a green roof area where guests can come and read outdoors. There are lots of windows on this floor that bring in a lot of light to the area.
3D Orientation -
I chose to make my Library very clean looking with straight lines and sharp angles. I think this is the best possible fit for a library because it makes it look antique. I really enjoy the red brick walls with large glass windows.
